Operational Performance Monitoring
Overview
Intervention Project Management is committed to providing the best possible solutions to a wide range of well interventions, from preliminary programme design and the setting of key performance indicators, through to AFE preparation, comprehensive project management including time and cost tracking and post operations reports and analysis, and on-site supervision.
Programme Design
IPM can offer expert advice to clients at every stage of the programme design phase. We can help organisations build up a campaign of work from preliminary ideas into fully worked up proposals ready for approval and execution. As part of our service we offer assistance in the reviewing of current well operations processes with the focus on identifying areas of potential enhancement, conduct analysis of past performance based on historical data, assist with Root Cause Analysis, and if appropriate, the design of new processes ensuring the capture of lessons learnt.
Setting Key Performance Indicators
During the planning phase, we will work closely with the client to ensure the agreement of realistic and achievable KPI’s with all relevant vendors prior to commencement of operations, and assist in tracking their individual performances against these agreed targets.
AFE Preparation
We offer a service that can assist with the preparation of cost, time and risk estimates for all well interventions. These can range from high level estimates (+/-30%) as part of the screening process prior to project/campaign sanction, or to a more accurate level where estimates are required to be within +/-10% for inclusion into the AFE presentation for final approval.
Time and Cost Tracking
Efficient time and cost tracking enables the client to closely monitor planned versus actual and provides invaluable decision making tools should any difficulties be encountered. IPM can assist with the effective design or enhancement of current tracking systems to ensure all relevant timings (including any non-productive time) and costs are captured throughout the course of the operation, enabling quality post operative analysis and accurate historical data that can be used for the future planning and benchmarking of similar operations.
Post Operation Reports and Analysis
IPM recognises the importance to the client of the efficient and effective closure of a project. Upon the completion of an operation we will provide the client with a full post operational analysis report capturing all aspects of the intervention. This can be tailored directly to meet the reporting requirements of each individual client, but would include actual timings and costs in relation to plan, detailed variance analysis if appropriate, actual results versus planned objectives, a review of performance against all KPI’s identified at the planning stage, and a full summation of lessons learnt encompassing details of any recommended remedial actions as standard. If problems were encountered during the course of the operation, Root Cause Analysis would be carried out post operatively in an attempt to gain a clear understanding of actual events and identify positive steps to be taken to prevent any reoccurrence.
On-site Supervision
We engage our team of professionals with our clients in providing both onshore and offshore engineering services as best befits the nature of the intervention project/campaign.
